Diana Al-Hadid’s practice spans painting and sculpture, examining the historical frameworks and perspectives that shape visual cultures. Evolving from studies of her sculptures, Al-Hadid’s works on paper emphasize bold gesture and movement. The artist draws inspiration from the histories of various civilizations, as well as those of the materials she uses to create paintings like Untitled (2021).
