    Regina Silveira's Plugged (2011) series of photo etchings bear the hallmarks of the artist's practice: An assured use of particular mediums and techniques, the presence of the human body, and an arresting visual metaphor that parses interplays between power and perception. Plugs represent not only how we relate to other humans as a network, but also control the presence or absence of light, evoking one of the strongest forms of altering perception by controlling what we can and cannot.
